Unity Units
Unity, Wis. High School closed last Friday for a vacation of two weeks.
The Literary Society had a very pleasant meeting Friday evening. The question which we debated four week sago, viz: Resolved, "That civilized nations are justifiable in seizing and occupying territory inhabited by savages," was debated again and decided in the negative, reversing the decision of four weeks ago.
John Rensimer had his arm badly bruised last week in the hat press. John now thinks there is no fun in hugging a bale of hay.
Once more J. H. Cook had to submit to the ravages of the tire on last Monday morning at about 7 o’clock. Mr. Cook went to the drug store to build the tires, and just as he touched a match to the lamp it exploded, burning the building and contents so rapidly that nothing could be saved except part of the P. O. textures. Loss, about $6,000, insured for $3,700.
Mrs. Blont. of Romeo, is visiting friends here.
