Allain, Margaret Edith (Marriage - 22 Jul. 1950)
On Saturday, July 22, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby, Miss Margaret Edith Allain, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Allain, Unity, became the bride of James Wilcott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Felix Wilcott, Marshfield. The Rev. N. B. Beschta officiated at the ceremony.
The bride selected a French blue silk chantilly lace dress of cocktail length, the full gored skirt was topped with a close fitting bodice over which was worn a short bolero jacket. Her hat was an open crowned halo of softly braided matching veiling. Matching shoes and gloves completed the ensemble.
Serving as the bride’s attendant was her sister, Miss Katherine Allain of Land O Lakes, who was attired in a toast silk chantilly lace cocktail dress.
The fitted bodice featured a bateau neckline and short cap sleeves. The skirt was full and circular. A small toast felt ?oche with a short veil and short nylon mitts completed her accessories.
James Wilcott of Auburndale was best man.
The breakfast was followed by a reception and dinner at the home of the bride’s parents.
Guests were present from Milwaukee, Marshfield, Spencer, Colby, Auburndale, Unity and Land O Lakes. The young couple will make their home in Milwaukee.
