Pech, Barbara (1 May 1875 - 23 Aug. 1950)

Mrs. Barbara Pech, 75, died at her home near Necedah, Wis., last Wednesday, August 23rd of old age complications. The funeral was held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Minor Lutheran Church with burial in the Minor cemetery.

Mrs. Pech, formerly Barbara Hlad, was born in Bohemia, May 1, 1875 and received her education in the public schools in Stradice, Bohemia. She was married June 10, 1894 to Joseph Pech, who died October 25, 1935. They came to America in August of 1903 and lived in Madison, Nebraska, later in Solon, Iowa and in March 1914 they moved to a farm 14 miles north of Necedah where she lived until the time of her death, or about 36 years.

She leaves a son, Joseph Pech of Unity, two other sons and five daughters besides 23 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pech Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pech, Jr. of Unity attended the funeral as did Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Staves, and son, Wallace, Eau Claire, and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Fuller, Janesville.
