Mittermiller, Rita Jane #2 (Marriage - 3 Feb. 1951)

Approaching the altar on the arm of her brother-in-law, LaVern G. Parks, Miss Rita Jane Mittermiller repeated nuptial vows with Kenneth F. Josephson, Saturday morning in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. The 9 o’clock wedding ceremony was performed by the Rev. Eugene Comiskey.

The bride was gowned in an entrained satin dress featuring a sheer high yoke forming a V in the center and edged with a narrow stand-up ruffle of lace. The snug-fitting bodice was designed with a border of lace at the hip-line which also extended into the train, and the long sleeves tapered to points at the wrists. Her finger-tip veil of silk illusion cascaded from a satin bonnet embroidered with seed pearls, and she carried a white lace shower arrangement of calla lilies and red roses with white carnations and baby mums.

Mr. and Mrs. John Stadler, Eau Claire, the bride’s brother-in-law and sister, were the couple’s only attendants. Mrs. Stadler chose a forest green gown designed with a net yoke and tiered skirt. Her hat and gauntlets matched her dress, and she carried a gold lacelon shower bouquet of yellow carnations and acacia.

Mr. and Mrs. John Mittermiller, 606 N. Central avenue, are the bride’s parents, while the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Josephson, reside in Unity.

After the ceremony, a breakfast was served at the bride’s home for the wedding party. A dinner for the immediate family was served at the Country Ballroom and a reception was held in the Eagle’s Hall from 2 to 5 p.m.

The bride, a graduate of the Marshfield Senior High School, is employed at Central State Bank, while her husband, a graduate of Unity, Wis. High School, is in the production office of the Roddis Plywood Corp.

When the newlyweds return from a honeymoon trip in northern Wisconsin and Minnesota, they will reside at 606 N. Central avenue.

Guests at the wedding came from Minneapolis, Minn., Ann Arbor, Mich., Waukegan, Ill., Unity, Spencer, Colby and Stratford.
