Schuette, Hulda (13 Feb. 1895 - 30 Jul. 1951)

Mrs. Hulda Schuette, 56, of Unity, Wisconsin, route 1, died at the St. Joseph hospital, Marshfield, on Monday evening of injuries received in a head-on auto collision on highway K north of Loyal late Monday.

Her husband, Hugo, 56, and her son, Merlin, 26, were also admitted to the hospital suffering from severe injuries received in the crash, as was Mrs. Eugene Gloudeman, 23, driver of the other car involved.

Merlin is believed to have been driving the Schuette car. Both autos were demolished by the collision.

Funeral services for Mrs. Schuette will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 in St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Green Grove. The Rev. Paul Dietz will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Schuette, nee Hulda Ihlenfeldt, was born February 13, 1895 in Luxemburg, Town of Montpelier. She was married on April 14, 1920 and since her marriage has lived on a farm west of Unity.

Surviving besides her husband and son are three daughters, Mrs. Paul Schlinsog, Granton; Mrs. Calvin Schultz, Milwaukee; and Miss Ethel Schuette, Milwaukee and another son, Orville, who also lives in Milwaukee. There are five grandchildren, and a sister, and a brother surviving.

She was a member of St. Luke’s Ladies Aid Society.
