Brown, Lula (Marriage - 1884)

Miller - Brown - At the residence of the bride’s father in this city, by Rev. W. T. Hendren, Mr. W. P. Miller, of Unity, Wis., to Miss Lulu Brown, of this city.

Both of the contracting parties are well known to every one in this city. Mr. Miller’s parents live at Appleton, Wis., at which place his boyhood was spent. He afterwards became clerk in a large packing house in Chicago, after which he learned the drug business. About three years ago he came to this city and became a druggist in W. C. Crandall’s drug store, in which position he continued after the store changed hands and Mr. Youmans, the present proprietor, took charge. Something less than a year since, Mr. Miller quiet his position here for the purpose of locating a business of his own. He finally settled on Unity where he now has a drug store. Mrs. Miller has been known in this place for many years, her parents having removed to this city from Black River Falls when she was but a child. Her father, Mr. David Brown was for several years manager of James Hewett’s store in this city and during the past year has been part of the time engaged in the store, of E. Y. Spaulding at Black River Falls.

Both of the young people have hosts of friends here who wish them an abundance of the good things of this life in their new home.
