Re: Cheese
Factories (Memories of Clark County)

I have enjoyed reading the "Memories" stories about cheese factories. Ed and Emma Witt used to have a cheese factory back in the late 1930 to 1940's. It was located about a mile east and 2 miles north of Thorp. Witts cheese factory was probably the name of it. The Wild Cherry Cheese Factory was located about one mile west and 2 miles north of Thorp. I went to the Bi-Centennial school and the Natzke boys attended the same school. Their parents owned the Wild Cherry Cheese Factory back then. Sincerely, Mildred E. Gregoire of Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
