Wilms, Lela C. (14 Jul. 1873 - 14 Feb. 1930)
Mrs. Frank Wilms, formerly of Colby and the only daughter of Mrs. G. T. Benjamin of Colby, died in Vancouver, B.C. Canada on Friday, February 14th, kidney trouble, asthma and heart trouble being the cause of her departure. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, her mother, Mrs. G. T. Benjamin, and one brother, Mr. Elmer Meach of Colby.
The deceased was born on the homestead four miles west of Spencer July 14th, 1873, thus reaching the age of fifty-six years and seven months. She was married in Colby August 19th, 1894, and she and her husband lived in Colby for four or five years when they moved to Mondovi where they stayed a year and then moved to Abbotsford where Mr. Wilms conducted a barber shop until about twenty-two years ago. They then went to Vancouver, British Columbia where they moved onto a homestead. Mr. Wilms also operated a barber shop at Kelso, Wash.
