Halverson, Carolyn (Marriage - 26 Nov. 1930)
A very pretty wedding took place at the Zion Lutheran church last Wednesday, November 26th, Rev. O. Hoffman officiating, when Miss Carolyn Halverson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Halverson, became the bride of Mr. Theodore Baumgart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Baumgart. Miss Irene Lukas of Stetsonville, Wisconsin acted as bridesmaid and Miss Helen Baumgart, sister of the groom, was maid of honor. The groom was attended by Ervin Baumgart and Walter Halverson.
The bride wore a beautiful dress of white satin and lace trimmed with silver beads and tulle veil. Her shower bouquet consisted of chrysanthemums, roses and ferns. The maid of honor was attired in a dress of nile green flat silk crepe and her bouquet consisted of carnations and ferns. The bridesmaid wore a dress of old rose silk satin and her bouquet also consisted of carnations and ferns.
A wedding supper was served at the home of the bride’s parents for the relatives, the home being nicely decorated in blue and white and also pink and white for the occasion. The newlyweds are at home in Owen where the groom is employed.
Both the bride and the groom are well and favorably known in Colby.
