Miss Ruby Lukowicz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lukowicz, and Mr. Byron Olson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Olson, were married Wednesday morning at 10:00 o’clock, June 10th, 1931, at the St. Mary’s parsonage at Colby, Rev. H. Lachnit reading the marriage ceremony. Miss Helen Beidel acted as bridesmaid and the groom was attended by Mr. Lester Guetchow.
The bride was attired in a beautiful dress of rose petal pink chiffon taffeta with rose transparent hat to match and her bouquet consisted of American beauty roses and ferns. The bridesmaid wore a dress of orchid chiffon with orchid hat and her corsage bouquet consisted of orchid sweet peas and ferns. Both the bride and the bridesmaid wore elbow length gloves.
The flower bearer, Jane Marie Lukowicz, wore a dress of pea green silk crepe and carried a basket of roses, sweet peas and ferns.
A six o’clock dinner was served to relatives at the home of the bride’s parents, the home being nicely decorated in orchid and pink cut flowers for the occasion.
In the evening, a free wedding dance was given at Wiedenhoeft’s pavilion which was largely attended by relatives and friends.
Both the bride and the groom are well and favorably known in Colby and vicinity and have the best wishes of a host of friends.
