Clouse, Lyle (10 MAY 1900 - 23 APR 1939)

Lyle Clouse, son of Chas. Clouse died at his home in Milwaukee Sunday April 23. Death released him from many long years of suffering.

He was born in the Township of Loyal May 10, 1900. In July 1931 he was married to Margaret Fransway of Milwaukee. They have one daughter, Carol. Since his marriage he has made his home in Milwaukee where he worked at the painters trade. His mother died twenty six years ago. Although Lyle was the youngest child his is the first death in the family of eight children.

His body arrived here from Milwaukee Wednesday morning and was taken to the home of his father. From there he was taken Thursday to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church where at 9 A. M. Rev. Aloys Zinthefer officiated at the requiem mass. He was buried in the Loyal Cemetery.

As a boy and man his home meant much to him. Although it has been many years since he lived in Loyal, those who knew him here will miss his visits to the home town and remember him with the affection he well merited.

Besides his wife, daughter and father he is survived by three sisters and four brothers, namely; Lydia (Mrs. Chas. Bolt) of Milwaukee; Nellie (Mrs. Warren Newell) of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; and Celia (Mrs. Bert Young) of Loyal; Lee and Ira of Loyal; Irvin of Mt. Angel, Oregon; and Louie of Auburndale. His step-mother, Mrs. Chas. Clouse also survives him.

Seven nieces acted as flower girls. They were Mrs. Ruby Rupp, Beulah Clouse, Hazel Luella and Norma Young, and Lavern and Rosemary Clouse.

Pall bearers were Ed. Bertz, Frank Wendel, Wm. Murphy, Joe Murphy, Matt Beaver and Henry Vogel.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral were his wife and daughter from Milwaukee and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Bolt, Chas Fransway, and Fred Stock of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Clouse and children of Auburndale; Mrs. Amelia Clouse and daughter Eva, Neillsville; Mrs. Bessie Spry and daughter LaVonne, Nekoosa; Mr. and Mrs. Hastings Baird; Mr. and Mrs. Louie Vogel, and Mr. Clarence Dunn, Greenwood; and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hartsworn, Appleton.
