Miss Leona, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Dvorak and Maurice, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hixon Mead, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), were united in marriage yesterday morning, Nov. 12, 1936, at 9 o’clock at St. Mary’s Rectory. Rev. F.E. Wallace performed the ceremony.
The bride was attired in dark brown crepe with brown hat, and accessories in brown. She carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums. She was attended by Miss Mary Sobzak, who wore green crepe,w ith accessories to match and carried a bouquet of copper snapdragons and rust and yellow chrysanthemums.
The groom was attended by the bride’s twin brother, Leo Dvorak. Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s parents to immediate relatives, after which the bridal pair left on a wedding trip to Milwaukee. They wil reside in Thorp where the groom is a druggist.
The bride is a graduate of the local high school with the class of 1929 and also of the Teachers’ Training course here, and has taught school for several years.
The groom is a graduate of the Thorp High School and took up Pharmacy at Marquette College in Milwaukee.
Out of Town guests who were present for the wedding were: Mrs. Hixon Mead of Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bauer and son, Carl, of Ellsworth, Mrs. Robert Martin of Wauwatosa.
