Kronberg, Sarah C. (20 JUL 1876 - 21 JAN 1937)

Mrs. Peter Kronberg, 60, passed away at her home in the town of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), last Thursday morning, succumbing to an attack of influenza. The news of her death came as a distinct shock to her many friends in this vicinity.

Born in Elroy, Wis., on July 20, 1876, Sarah Catherine Clark was one of the early settlers of Thorp, having resided here for the past fifty-four years. She was united in marriage to Peter Kornberg on Dec. 20, 1894, at Boyd, Wis.

Always an active, energetic worker at home and in the community in which she lived, her presence will be sadly missed by the family and the large circle of social and lodge acquaintances, who knew her best.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two brothers, Jim Clark, Minneapolis, Robert Clark, Peoria, Ill., four sisters, Mrs. Ed Carey, Hillsboro, Wis., Mrs. Fred Gilbert, Portland, Ore., Mrs. Vedell Boardman and Mrs. Joe Robinson of Eidsvold, one daughter, Mrs. Joseph Kulwiec, and two grandchildren, Mrs. Ray Ropella and Laurel Banderob of Thorp. One daughter and a son preceded her in death.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A.M. Muckerheide at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church at 9:30 o’clock Monday and interment was made in the East Thorp Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Mike Ramer, Anton Fitzl, Chester Johnson, W.A. Wilhelm, Joe Gengler, Andrew Heiman, Fred Driessen, and Ed Driessen.
