Patterson, Kathryn (28 DEC 1936)
A pretty wedding was solemnized at the St. Louis Catholic Church Saturday morning, Dec. 28, 1935, at 8 o’clock when Mrs. Kathryn Patterson of Milwaukee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Engel, Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Herman Schroeder of Milwaukee. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Clement Haines.
The bride was tastily attired in a brown ensemble and Miss Alice Mallach of Colby, Wis., who acted as bridesmaid, wore black. Both wore shoulder bouquets of mixed flowers. The groom was attended by the bride’s brother, George Engel.
Wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s parents immediately following the ceremony for the wedding party and dinner and supper were served for friends and relatives. A wedding dance was held in the evening at Hinke’s.
The newlyweds are spending this week visiting relatives here and will return to Milwaukee next week, where the groom is employed.
Their many friends join us in wishing them many years of happiness and prosperity together.
