Beineman, Claire M. (27 JUN 1936)
Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Claire M. Beineman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Beineman of Wolmot, to Otto H. Gumz, Silver Lake, son of Mrs. Louisa Gumz of Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.), which occurred Saturday, June 27, 1936, at the Baptist parsonage at Elgin, Ill.
The bride was tastily attired in a dark blue silk gown with matching accessories. Her bridesmaid, Mrs. John Wivner of Silver Lake, also wore a dress of dark material. John Wivner acted as groomsman.
Following the one o’clock ceremony, a wedding dinner was served at Elgin to the bridal party, after which they left for Silver Lake.
The newlyweds arrived here last Monday to visit with the groom’s mother and with his sister, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kaage and family. They are spending this week on a camping trip throughout northern Wisconsin and will return to Silver Lake next Tuesday.
The happy young couple will make their future home at Silver Lake where the groom is employed as a stone mason at Silver Lake CCC camp. Their wedding came as a complete surprise to their many Dorchester friends who join us in wishing them the best of everything in years to come.
