Cole, Floyd (1884? - AUG 1936)
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Goodman Presbyterian Church for Floyd Cole, 52, who passed away at a Michigan hospital near Goodman following a week’s illness from pneumonia. Mr. Cole, who had been bookkeeper at the Goodman Lumber Co. for the past seventeen years, was apparently in good health until the time he was stricken. Following the services the remains were taken to Shawano where interment was made.
Born in the town of Belle Plain, Mr. Cole grew to young manhood in southern Wisconsin. In June of 1907 he was married to Miss Eleanora Leslie at the home of her aunt and uncle, Miss Sarah and M.M. Leslie, at Winneconne. After living five years at Shawano, the Coles moved to Welles, Mich., where they resided until 1919 when they moved to Goodman.
Three children, Misses Dorothy and Gail and Matthew, were born to them and with their mother survive. Matthew is especially known here (Dorchester, Clark Co., Wis.), having spent a part of this summer with his aunt and uncle, the Leslies. Miss Sarah and Matt M. Leslie were the only ones from here to attend the services.
The many friends join us in offering sympathy to the family.
