Roebuck, Suzanne (1942 - 2007)
Suzanne (Hardrath) Roebuck, 65, Port Neches, TX, died after a long battle with breast cancer.
Funeral services were held June 4th at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Nederland with Reverend Francis Schroeder presiding. Interment followed at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland.
Serving as pallbearers were Michael and Christopher Roebuck, Richard Dixon, Al Dean, Johnnie Coutee and Arlis Jones. Honorary pallbearers were her friends and employees of Echo Maintenance.
Suzanne was born in Owen on her family’s dairy farm. She attended school in the rural community and graduated from Owen-Withee High School in 1959.
She and her husband, Phillip Roebuck, lived in Texas, where they and partners began Golden Triangle Construction in 1976. Gold Triangle Construction later became Echo Maintenance, LLC. For 30 years, Suzanne was the office manager and secretary-treasurer of the family business.
Suzanne is preceded in death by her infant sons, Patrick and James Roebuck and her parents Harley and Eileen Hardrath.
She is survived by her husband Phillip; a son Mike (Kelly) Roebuck, Nederland, TX and a daughter Rhonda (Johnsye) McDonald; seven grandchildren; and three sisters, Sandy (Larry) Fritz, Owen, Sally (Jerome) Weiler, Owen and Sheyl (Harold) Snortheim, Eau Claire.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Nederland, M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston or a charitable organization of choice.
