Robbins, Floy (1873 - 14 MAY 1897)
Mrs. Floy Robbins died at her home in this city (Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis.) last Friday evening of quick consumption, after an illness of some months. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon from the house and the remains were laid to rest in the city cemetery.
Deceased was 23 years of age and had never been strong and healthy, and when the dread disease fastened its clutches on her, she slowly but surely faded away and the spark of life went out and she passed into that blissful slumber that knows no awakening. There is an aching void in the hearts of the dear ones and a vacant chair in the home circle that can never be refilled.
She was born and grew to womanhood among us and her quiet and unassuming ways made her respected and loved by all who knew her and a large circle of loving friends mourn her untimely demise. She was a friend to all, was ever ready to lend a helping hand in the hour of trouble.
To the heartbroken husband and other relatives bowed down with grief most poignant, we know your loss is great and for you the sympathy of the community is poured out. Time alone can heal the wounds of grief and we can only express our sympathy. We know your loss is great.
