Wayne A. Scheer, 68, Unity, died on Monday, June 18, 2007, in the emergency room at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Visitation will be on Friday, June 22, from 5 p.m. until time of memorial services at 7 p.m., at Community Funeral Home, Colby. The Rev. Dale Wilford will officiate.

Wayne Alvin Scheer was born June 29, 1938, in the town of Green Grove, to Orland and Irene (nee Duvall) Scheer. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps. He married Jane Evenson on Oct. 20, 1962. He worked for Wick Homes in Spencer and for Weyerhauser Corp. in Marshfield foe 13 years. He loved hunting, fishing, vacationing on small trips, and living with his children and family.

Survivors include his wife, Jane, Unity; his daughter Gale Ann (Chris) Buersken, Marshfield; his son, Kurt Orland (Gail Moen) Scheer, Unity; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; and two sisters, Joanne (Ken) Kasper, Unity, and Sheryl Hamilton, Colby.
