Veryl Auberg (Aug 23, 1919 - June 30, 2007)
Veryl Auberg, 87, of Owen, died Saturday, June 30, 2007, at Saint Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, at Saint John's Lutheran Church in Withee. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. Tom Myhre will officiate. Pallbearers will be Lanny Auberg, Jeff Auberg, Ronnie Auberg, David Blazer, Ray Hafemeister and Ken Carlsen.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until time of services at the church. Maurina/Community Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Veryl was born Aug. 23, 1919, in Longwood to Charles and Esther (Lewin) Buss. Veryl and Roy Auberg were married Nov. 17, 1938. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1959.
They built the Lunch Box Café in Withee in 1948 and operated it until 1959. She then worked at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen until 1984 as a nursing assistant. She had resided in Owen until September of 2006 when she entered the Clark County Health Care Center.
She was a member of Saint John's Lutheran Church.
Veryl is survived by her daughter Judy (Phil) Cieslek of Mosinee; four grandchildren, Scott (Lanette) Cieslek, Kurt (Amy) Cieslek, Kelly (Brian) Wonsil and Melanie (Brian Parquette) Matis; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Florence Blazer of Owen, and one brother, Gerald Buss of Madison.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two great-grandsons.
Memorials may be given to the Clark County Health Care Center or Palliative Care at Saint Joseph's Hospital.
