Currier, John #2 (13 SEP 1828 - 15 AUG 1898)
John Currier died Monday morning about 2 o’clock of heart disease, at the home of his brother-in-law, Fred Reitz. He was in good spirits during the previous day, but about midnight awakened his relatives, complaining of pains in his chest and was unable to return to bed. Dr. Conroy was summoned, but the sick man was beyond medical aid and died a short time after.
Deceased was born in Skowhegan, Me., in 1828, and has been a resident of Clark County for 42 year. He leaves four sisters and two brothers to mourn his loss. The funeral occurred Wednesday from the Unitarian Church, under the auspices of the Masonic order. Rev. T.G. Owen officiated.
