Mitzlaff, Anna Maria Louise (31 Aug. 1871 - 13 Feb. 1937)
Spencer - Mrs. George Mitzlaff, 65, died at her home 4 ½ miles northeast of here at 8:15 o’clock this morning as a result of a stroke suffered Thursday night. She had been unconscious from that time until her death.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Swarthout funeral home, followed by rites at St. John’s Lutheran church at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. H. C. Hinz will officiate and burial will take place in the North cemetery.
Mrs. Mitzlaff is survived by her husband, three sons and five daughters: Frank, Unity; Harold, Hannibal; Ervin, Spencer; Mrs. Evelyn Deauchamp and Miss Eleanor Mitzlaff, Marshfield; Mrs. Lillian Segler and Miss Caroline Mitzlaff, Milwaukee, and Miss Vera Mitzlaff, Spencer, and by four grandchildren. One daughter died 34 years ago.
There are also four sisters, Mrs. Fred Schroeder, Arpin; Mrs. Simon Pflum and Mrs. Ed Glaman, Marshfield, and Mrs. Adolph Stelzl, Spencer, and one brother, Emil Mellenthin, Spencer.
Mrs. Mitzlaff was born at Unity on Aug. 31, 1871, at Unity, and was married to George Mitzlaff at Spencer on Sept. 28, 1889. She had been a resident of the Spencer community throughout her life.
