Oelrich, Wilmer (2 Aug. 1922 - 17 June 1978)
Spencer - Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church for Wilmer (Boomer) Oelrich, 55, of Route 1, Spencer. He died at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
The Rev. William Ruhbusch, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in West Spencer Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today at the Rux Funeral Home.
Mr. Oelrich was born Aug. 2, 1922 in Spencer where he received his education. He married Norma Pichler Sept. 3, 1949 in Marshfield. He was a truck driver for Standard Oil Co. before becoming a truck driver for Bock Industries of Spencer.
A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Navy from 1944-47. He was a former assessor for the town of Sherman and had been serving as a town supervisor. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Royal (Susan) Neumann of Unity; two brothers, Theodore of Minocqua and Elmer of Spencer; four sisters, Mrs. Norbert (Marion) Boock, Spencer, Mrs. John (Eleanor) Reineking of Milwaukee, Mrs. Al (Lillian) Johnsrud, Spencer, and Mrs. William (Bonnie) Plath of Danbury; and his mother, Mrs. Minnie Oelrich of Spencer. He was predeceased by his father, Frank.
