Griepentrog, Adeline (30 Sept. 1913 - 11 June 1994)

Spencer - Adeline Griepentrog, 81, rural Spencer, died June 11, 1994 at her home.

Visitation will be at Community Funeral Home, Spencer, at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. William Ruhbusch of Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer, will officiate. Burial will be in Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Randy Schade, Kevin and Roger Martens, Joseph Kilty, Jerry Anderson and Dave Friedmund.

She was born Sept. 30, 1913, in Stratford to the late Albert and Lena (Gore) Verch. She received her education in Stratford.

She was married to Elmer A. Griepentrog on May 28, 1932, in Spencer. Together they farmed in the town of Brighton until retirement. They were guardians of three grandchildren. Elmer died on Aug. 17,1993.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Berdine Schade of Colby and Carol Boge of Medford; one sister, Emma Smith of Marshfield; two brothers, Norbert Verch of Argonne and Ellsworth Verch of Stratford; five grandchildren, Nancy Martens of Marshfield, Linda Kilty of Unity, Jenelle Sternitzky of Cannon Falls, Minn., Randy Schade of Colby and Cindy Bruss of West Bend; 10 great-grandchildre; and one great-great-grandchild.

Besides her husband and parents, Adeline was also predeceased by her son, Harold, who died Sept. 25, 1976, and by one sister and two brothers.
