Buss, Albert W. (13 APR 1859 - 25 MAY 1933)

Albert William Buss, 74, died at his home in the town of Green Grove (Clark Co., Wis.), of apoplexy Saturday morning at 10 o’clock. He had been ill a week.

Funeral services were conducted at the Curtiss Reform Church Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. H.K. Hartmann officiating. Burial took place at the Pine Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Oscar Lipprandt, W. Kopp, Chris Klessig, F.W. Laabs, Charles Schmidt and Frank Tonn. The Misses Dorothy Hinges, Erma Krueger, Frances Gustafson, Alice and Clara Thess and Elvira Lipprandt had charge of the flowers.

Mr. Buss was born in Germany on April 13, 1859, and had lived on his farm in the town of Green Grove for 40 years, being one of the pioneers of the section.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Emil Buss, Curtiss, and Mrs. Bernard Lueloff, Owen; and by a son, Herman, Curtiss, Wis. There are also thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Buss died in August 1930, one son, Fred, lost his life in the World War, and another, Carl , died three years ago.
