Reed, Thomas (11 July 1830 - 1885)
Mr. Thomas Reed died at his home on Pleasant Ridge last Sunday afternoon at about one o’clock. Mr. Reed was born in Maine, July 11, 1830. He came to Wisconsin in the fall of 1855, and settled in Clark County, on the homestead of Pleasant Ridge, where he resides until the time of his death. He was married to Lucretia B. Marsh in 1860. Two their children are buried on the home lot and two are living: Mrs. Julius Benedict, and Miss Hattie. Mr. Reed was known as an honest, upright citizen, an intelligent farmer, a kind and affectionate father and husband and a constant friend. He is to be buried with Masonic ceremonies. Services at half past 10 at the house and at the court house at half past 12, Rev. J. D. Brothers officiating.
