Walter C. Digoski (Jan 9, 1924 - July 12, 2007)

NEILLSVILLE -- Walter Digoski, age 83, of Neillsville, formerly of Willard, died Thursday, July 12, 2007, at the Memorial Health and Rehabilitation Center in Neillsville, Wis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11a.m., Monday, at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard. Interment will be the in the town of Lynn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville and from 10 a.m. to service time Monday at the church.

He was born on Jan. 9, 1924, in Willard to Paul and Josephine (Morris) Digoski. On April 17, 1945, he enlisted into the United States Army, serving during World War II. He was honorably discharged on Jan. 14, 1947.

Walt married Bertha McCann on Sept. 15, 1957, at the Corpus Christi Church in Bakerville. He worked as an auctioneer and Real Estate broker in the surrounding area. Bertha died in 1980.

He is survived by nieces and nephews and a daughter-in-law, Jeanette (Richard) Jonas of Chili
