Burmeister, Eliese #2 (4 OCT 1851 - 19 NOV 1933)

Funeral services were held at the Henry Burmeister home Friday afternoon for Mrs. William Burmeister, 82, who died at the home of her son, Henry, town of Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.), on Nov. 19, 1933. The Rev. E.G. Pfeiffer officiated and burial took place in the Longwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Eliese Burmeister, nee Meier, was born at Hanover, Germany, Oct. 4, 1851. She was married to William Burmeister in Germany on Oct. 27, 1876, and three children were born to them. Those surviving are Henry, Longwood, and William, Owen, Wis. A daughter died in infancy.

The family came to this country in 1880 and to Withee in 1882. Mr. Burmeister died on Oct. 31, 1901, and up to a few years ago Mrs. Burmeister made her home with her son, William, on the home farm. The family has belonged to the Braun Settlement Reformed Church for many years.
