Stenseth, Anne (26 MAR 1855 - 8 JAN 1934)

Mrs. Anne Stenseth passed away late Monday afternoon at the home of her son, Carl M. Stenseth, after an illness which had confined her to her bed since early last fall. She had reached the age of 80 years, and since 1922 had been a resident of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), making her home with her son. Mrs. Stenseth came here from Chippewa Falls, where she had resided for many years.

Anne Stenseth was born at Sigdal, Norway, March 26, 1855, and came to this country in the year 1909. During her residence here, she made numerous friends, among whom she was favorably regarded. She was devoted to her children, was kindly and led a Christian life.

Funeral services were held at St. Katherine’s Church, Wednesday afternoon, Dr. F.E. Drake officiating, after which the body was taken to Chippewa Falls, where it was taken to the home of her son, Peter Stenseth, 109 Rural St. Funeral services will be conducted from the home there this afternoon at 2:00 o’clock and from Our Savior’s Lutheran Church at 2:30 o’clock, Rev. Tofte, pastor, and Dr. F.E. Drake of St. Katherine’s officiating. Interment will take place in Chippewa Falls.

Mrs. Stenseth leaves to mourn three sons, Carl M., Owen; John, Rice Lake; and Peter of Chippewa Falls; and two daughters, Mrs. Marie Anderson, Cleveland, Ohio, and Mrs. Andrew Myhre, White Bear, Minn. Also three brothers, Ole and Thomas Solum, Fairchild, Wis., and Erick, residing in Norway.
