Biography of Charles & Minnie Kuhlmann

Kuhlman, Carl (27 JUL 1856 - 4 SEP 1931)

Carl Kuhlman, a highly esteemed resident of Rusk County for the past thirty-three years, died at his home at Tony, Friday, Sept. 4, 1931. Deceased was over 75 years of age at the time of his death. Born in Germany, he migrated to the United States in 1880 and settled at Brillion, Wis., where he lived until 1898, when he moved to Rusk County, locating on a farm near Tony.

During the year 1884 he was united in marriage to Miss Minnie Kier, and to this union ten children were born, all of whom, together with the wife, survive him, except two, who died in infancy.

The surviving children are: Mrs. George Swartz (Schwarze), Greenwood; Mrs. Peter Leonhard, Ladysmith; Mrs. J. Swoverland, Tony, Mrs. O. Swoverland, Tony; Mrs. Geo. Chanley, Indianapolis, Ind.; Mrs. John Hamilton, Burgin, Ky.; Arthur Kuhlman, Rapid City, S.D.; and Ben Kuhlman of Indianapolis, Ind.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the Methodist Church in Tony by Rev. C. L. Hocking of Tracy, Minn, with interment in the Tony Cemetery.
