Dallmann, Mr./Mrs. Fred (50th Anniv. - 17 Mar. 1933)

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dallmann celebrated their golden wedding anniversary, March 17th. Members of St. John’s church and other friends attended. After services, conducted by Rev. G. F. Hahn, pastor, a fine program was rendered. Mrs. G. F. Hahn sang several solos, O. Davis, Wayne Davis and George Reil played several musical selections, Nellie Schorer rendered several instrumental duets and Fred Dallmann gave a little talk after which games were played until a late hour when a delicious lunch was served. About seventy people were in attendance.

Mr. Dallmann was born November 11, 1856, in Grengart, Germany, now part of Poland, and he came to the United States when twenty-six years of age and settled in Minnesota. Mrs. Dahlmann was born in Pommerania, Germany, January 7th, 1862, and went directly to Minnesota with her father when she was eighteen years old.

Mr. and Mrs. Dallmann were married in Minnesota, from where they moved to Athens, Wis., then to Dodge county, and about 22 years ago, to Colby, Wisconsin and settled on a farm southwest of here. They moved into the City of Colby about four years ago. They have four sons and two daughters, namely: Wm. Dallmann, Colby; Mrs. O. H. Davis, Unity; Mrs. Wm. Dohrman, Mayville, Wisconsin; Edwin Dallmann, Cleveland, Ohio; Ben Dallmann, New London; Alvin Dallmann, Greenlake, Wis. All the sons and daughters were here for the celebtation except Alvin.
