Gehrt, Elsie (Marriage - August 17, 1925)
Mr. Arthur Berger and Miss Elsie Gehrt were married Monday, August 17, (1925), at the Lutheran parsonage in Winona, Minn.
The groom is the son of Mrs. William Berger of this city. He spent his boyhood days at the home farm south of the city. Later he took up work in mercantile establishments here and elsewhere and developed into a very excellent salesman. For some time he has been in the employ of R. A. Brauer in the clothing business and when Mr. Brauer opened a new store this summer at Wisconsin Rapids, Mr. Berger went there to help carry on the business. He is an active upright young man, pleasing in manner and efficient in his work.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Gehrt of Pine Valley. She has spent most of her life at home, except when employed for a short time in Milwaukee. She is a young lady of fine personality and much liked by all who know her.
The young couple is at home at their residence, 864 3rd St. Wisconsin Rapids. The Press extends best wishes.
(Transcriber note: Art Berger and members of his family at one time had Berger’s Men’s Wear in Neillsville and before that Mr. Berger worked for Zimmerman Bros. in the clothing store.)
