The marriage of Miss Vera Maki, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nestor Maki of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), to Edward Laki, son of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Maki of Withee, took place on Tuesday afternoon, July 3, 1934, at De Kalb, Ill., Rev. A. Ranta Lahti performing the ceremony.
The bride was attired in a gown of white silk with accessories to match.
Both bride and groom are well and favorably known in this community. For the past three years she has been employed as nurse at the Legault Hospital in this city.
They will make their home in East Chicago where the groom is employed. A large circle of friends extend to them best wishes for a happy and prosperous married life.
