Grap, Judy Annette (March 10, 1943 - July 6, 2007)

Judy Grap, age 64, of Neillsville, died Friday, July 6, 2007 at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, WI.

Judy Annette Miller was born on March 10, 1943 in Neillsville, the daughter of Albert and Mildred (King) Miller. She was raised on a farm in the Town of Seif, attended and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1961 and then moved to Milwaukee, WI for six months. She returned to Neillsville later that year and began working for the Agricultural Stabilization Committee (ASC) now known as the Farm Service Agency (FSA). She worked there for over 40 years, rising through the ranks and eventually becoming the chief Program Technician. Judy was united in marriage to Lewis Grap on Sept. 9, 1967 in Neillsville, Wis. He died in 1980. After Judy retired in 2002, she enjoyed traveling and visiting with her daughters. She also enjoyed bowling, playing cards and dominos.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and a member of the Red Hat Society in Neillsville, Wis.

She is survived by her daughters, Michelle (Butch Subke) Grap, of Neillsville; Christine (Mike) Choi, of Endicott, NY; and Stacy (Jason) Kernz, of Green Bay; one grandchild, Santana Subke; a sister, Delores Genteman, of Marshfield; three brothers, Albert (Nancy) Miller, of Cincinnati, OH; Donald Miller, of Thorp; and Duane "Joe" (Dorothy) Miller, of Marshfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis; her parents; three sisters, Pat Hagen, Sandy Kolano and Barbara Oldham; a brother, Bruce Miller; and her mother and father-in-law, Fred and Lucille Grap Sr.

Funeral services for Judy were held Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, Wis. Pastor Dong Su Lee of the United Methodist Church officiated. Music was provided by Jodi Rueth. Interment was in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

The Gesche Funeral Home is assisting Judy’s family with funeral arrangements.
