Luoma, Linnea (24 SEP 1934)
At the Finnish church in this city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.) Monday evening at 8 o’clock the marriage of Miss Linnea Luoma, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Luoma, of Longwood, to Carl Hill, son of Mrs. Walter Hill, town of Hixon (Clark Co.), took place, Rev. Kusisto of Minneapolis officiating.
The bride’s gown was of blue crepe, trimmed with lace, and she wore a corsage of flowers. Mrs. Daniel Arola was matron of honor. She wore a dress of pale blue crepe. Miss Ella Luoma and Miss Laura Koski acted as bridesmaids. The former wore a gown of pink silk and the latter a dress of peach silk.
Daniel Arola acted as best man. The groom was also attended by Armas Hill and William Kivikko.
After the ceremony a reception was held in the basement of the church, about 200 friends and relatives attending.
The newlyweds will make their home on a farm four miles south of Loyal.
Both bride and groom are well and favorably known in this vicinity and their many friends extend best wishes for a happy and prosperous wedded life.
