Johansen, Frieda (1858? - 25 OCT 1934)
Mrs. Frieda Johansen, aged 76 years, was found dead shortly before noon today in the basement of the home of John Stevenson, at which place she has made her home for the past several years.
Mrs. Johansen died from a heart attack, attributed to old age. She had been in fairly normal health, and her death came as a great shock to her relatives. She was a sister-in-law to Johns Stevenson and Carl Nielsen, her husband having preceded her in death a number of years ago.
Mrs. Johansen had gone to the basement only a short time before her body was discovered. Miss Dorothy Nielsen, daughter of Mr. Nielsen, was in the home at the time, but suspected nothing of her remaining in the basement the few minutes that she had been there. Her body was found by Mr. Nielsen, when he had gone to the home for his noon day meal. Mr. Stevenson was at Neillsville serving on the jury at the time and returned home shortly after one o’clock this afternoon.
Funeral arrangements at this writing have not been announced.
