Renne, Nora (22 Feb. 1867 - 12 Feb. 1886)

Renne - At Maple Works, Wis., Feb. 12, 1886, of consumption, Miss Nora Renne, aged 18 years, 11 months and 21 days.

Miss Renne was born at Maple Works, this county, Feb. 22nd, 1867. She was the daughter of Mr. Charles Renne, and a most esteemable (estimable) and universally respected young lady.

Miss R. attended the schools of this city for five years, and the Normal School at River Falls one term, securing a teacher’s certificate when only 14 years of age, since which time she had been teaching in the schools of this county. Her mother died several years ago. After that sad event Miss R. made her home mostly with her grandmother, Mrs. James Lynch, of this city, until last fall, when she went to her father’s home at Maple Works, where she was at the time of her death. Her funeral occurred last Sunday, Rev. W. T. Hendren, officiating, at which large delegations from Neillsville and other place were present.

Miss Nora Renne possessed many amiable traits of character. She was not only a perfect lady, even in her tendered years, with a place in her heart for all her fellow beings, but she was ambitions to become something better and more worthy the lover of her hosts of friends as the years rolled by. She was a young lady whose memory will make the world, in which she was an ornament, better for her having been in it, and while her death will cast a cloud for a time over the paths in which she moved, heaven will be made brighter by the great change. Pure, loving and lovable, her death has caused an unusual void in the community where she was best known, and her memory will remain green in the hearts of her companions and friends, and the light of her example shine over the circle where she was one of the brightest stars.
