Ferguson, George (*13 Aug. 1850 - 25 March 1886) *Birth date as calculated on the date calculator.
Ferguson - At his residence in the town of Weston, March 25, 1886, Mr. Geo. Ferguson, aged 35 years, 7 months, 12 days.
The deceased was born at Girard, O., August, 1850. He came to Clark County May, 1870, and married Miss Angie Reber Oct. 28, 1875. He leaves one child, a lovely little girl, eight years of age. He was a kind, thoughtful, sympathizing husband, father, friends and neighbor. His early death is greatly lamented by all his relatives and friends.
The funeral services were held at the residence last Sunday, Rev. W. T. Hendren officiating.
Calmly lies he, sleeping there;
Freed from worldly care;
Closed his eyes so clear and bright,
Quenched forever is their light;
How can we, can we have it so,
Break, O, Heart, with thy deep woe.
Never more will greet our ear
Tones so kind as his and dear,
Never will rise and echo a more
Of his footfall on the floor,
Greater woe, can found hearts know;
Dead, we cannot make it so.
Cease, O cease, they murmurs vain,
And hope to see kind papa again,
And through ages he will bear
Love for those he has left here.
Yes, O how sad to know he’s gone,
Not our will but G. d’s be done.
