Wampole, Daughter (1894? - 10 FEB 1899)
A four-year-old daughter of Mrs. Wampole who resides with her father, Mr. Tennant, near the coal kilns, was playing with her two brothers in the house last Friday afternoon and in some manner her clothes caught fire from the stove. The children were alone in the house at the time and the little boys tore the clothes from her body and rolled her up in some bed clothes to extinguish the flames but the bedding also became ignited and despite all efforts the little girl was burned so badly about the head and body that she died a few hours later, being unconscious to the end.
