Heisler, Charles (1872? - 11 FEB 1899)
Chas. Heisler, a young man living 7 miles east of here (Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis.) was struck by a limb and instantly killed while working in Brooks camp near Loyal last Saturday morning. He and a companion had sawed down a tree, and, in falling, the top became lodged against another tree. He was cutting some brush when a piece of the top fell, striking him on the head. His companions saw him fall and ran to his side but found life extinct, death resulting instantaneously. The funeral services occurred Monday from the house, the remains being interred in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. He was about 26 years of age and leaves, besides his parents, two brothers and two sisters to mourn his loss.
