Sersch, Roy Sr. (29 Apr 1941 - 02 Jul 2007)

Roy Sersch Sr., 66, Spencer, died Monday, July 2nd, 2007, at his home.

Funeral services were held July 7th, at Community Funeral Home, Spencer. Burial was in West Spencer Cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Todd, Shawn Radue, Ardell Bach, Chester Lipsey, Denny Foth and Louis Cherney.

Roy was born April 29th, 1941, in the Town of Spencer to Paul and Elsie (Marglowsky) Sersch. He attended school at Brighton Elementary and Spencer High School.

He was married to Bonnie Copet and later divorced. Roy was then married to Linda Mitchell and later divorced.

Roy worked on the home farm for many years. He worked at numerous other jobs including being a carpenter and having his own band, Midnite Ramblers.

In 1979 he moved to Draper. He then moved to Madison where he lived for 18 years and moved back to the home place in Spencer in June of 2000.

Roy enjoyed horse pulling, deer hunting and fishing.

He is survived by two daughters, Kelly and Renee; three sons, Paul (Denise) Todd, Abbotsford, Roy (Lori) Sersch Jr., Stratford and Ray (Gloria) Sersch, Edgar; fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Ronald; two infant daughters; one infant son; and one sister, Marcella Weidman.

Maurina-Community Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
