A very pretty wedding took place at the Friedens Lutheran church in the town of Frankfort Saturday, Aug 5th, Rev. E. Notbaum reading the marriage ceremony, when Miss LaVerna Traeder, daughter of Wm. E. Traeder, became the bride of Mr. Lawrence Bohl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bohl. Miss Henrietta Traeder, sister of the bride, and Miss Edna Bohl, sister of the groom, acted as bridesmaids. The groom was attended by Erwin Thurs, his cousin, and Harold Traeder, brother of the bride.
The bride was attired in a beautiful dress of pink silk crepe with pink turban to match, white gloves, white slippers and her bouquet consisted of pink gladiolas. Miss Henrietta Traeder wore a dress of peach chiffon, white hat, white gloves, white slippers and her bouquet consisted of pink gladiolas. Miss Bohl wore a dress of gray silk crepe, white hat, white gloves, white slippers and her arm corsage consisted of pink gladiolas.
A reception was given at the home of the bridegroom’s parents, a wedding supper being served fifty relatives and friends. In the evening, a free wedding dance was given at Prochow’s ballroom which was largely attended by relatives and friends.
The newlyweds will make their home with the bridegroom’s parents in the town of Hamburg.
