Garbisch, Gertrude Elanor (Marriage - 10 Sept. 1933)
A very pretty wedding took place Sunday afternoon at one o’clock at the Zion Lutheran parsonage at Granton, Rev. A. Laesch reading the marriage ceremony, when Miss Gertrude Elanor Garbisch, daughter of Fred Garbisch of Granton, became the bride of Mr. Marion H. Schroeder, manager of the Sanitary Food Market of Colby and a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Schroeder of Granton. Mrs. Edward Garbisch acted as matron of honor and the groom was attended by Mr. Edward Garbisch.
The bride was attired in a blue and white ensemble with hat and slippers to match and her bouquet consisted of colored tea roses and swansonians. The matron of honor wore an ensemble of Bordeau red.
After the ceremony, a reception was held for immediate relatives. Covers for dinner were laid for ten and decorations were in yellow and rose gladiolas.
Mr. and Mrs. Schroeder started housekeeping immediately and are residing in the living rooms above the Sanitary Food Market. A free wedding dance will be given at Wiedenhoeft’s park this Friday evening.
