Conklin, Marie (19 OCT 1899)
Married, at the office of the county judge in this city (Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis.), Oct. 19, 1899, Miss Marie Conklin of Americus, Kan., to Truman Hayes of Shagago, N.Y. The ceremony was performed by County Judge Geo. L. Jacque, and witnessed by C. M. Bradford and E. P Houghton, who declare that, although the bride may be classed as an imported article, she compares with the home grown productions in this line, and, although they met the groom for the first time on this occasion, there was sufficient evidence to prove conclusively that he was a gentleman of good taste and judgment. And they wish the happy pair a prosperous and happy voyage on the tempestuous sea of matrimony.
