Eilert, Lizzie #2 (16 DEC 1899)
R.L. Meader of Eau Claire and Miss Lizzie Eilert, daughter of Ernst Eilert of this city (Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis.), were married at the O’Neill House parlor, Monday, Dec. 16, 1899, at 3 p.m., by Rev. T. Grafton Owen, of the People’s Church, in the presence of relatives and immediate friends. An elaborate lunch was served shortly after the ceremony, and the bridal pair left for Eau Claire on the 4:55 train, where the groom, who is a prosperous grocery man, has taken from us one of our very best and fairest young ladies. The bride has grown to womanhood here, is a graduate of our schools, and has been prominent in society. Mr. Meader was for some years in business here, and made many friends, who, as the phrase is, wish the happy pair all manner of prosperity.
