Short, Hattie #2 (13 DEC 1858 - 24 DEC 1899)
Mrs. Wallace Short of Levis (Clark Co., Wis.), died Sunday evening at 9 o’clock, of appendicitis, at the age of about 35 years. Mrs. Short, with her husband, went to Merrillan last Thursday, apparently in good health, but complained of not feeling well soon after. After reaching her home Friday, she grew gradually worse until Sunday evening, when death relieved her from her sufferings. The deceased was a daughter of Archie Day of the town of Levis, was a loving wife and mother, and was well known and highly respected by all who knew her. The bereaved family has the sincere sympathy of the entire community.
