Miss Viola Krueger and Mr. Emil Untiet Married
A very pretty fall wedding was solemnized at the St. Mary’s Catholic church Tuesday morning, Rev. L. J. Lang reading the marriage ceremony, when Miss Viola Krueger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Krueger of Green Grove, became the bride of Mr. Untiet, son of John Untiet. The bride was attired in a beautiful dress of white satin with tulle veil caught with a bandeau of pearls. She carried a colonial bouquet of pink roses, white asters and ferns, tied with a pink tulle.
Miss Viola Untiet, Milwaukee, as maid of honor wore blue satin with black satin hat and Miss Mernabelle Laabs, who served as bridesmaid wore a pink satin gown with hat to match. Their flowers were of carnations and asters. Little Betty Jean Krueger, and Loretta Smith were flower girls, they were dressed in light blue crepe and carried baskets of garden flowers. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Lorence Untiet and Lorence Krueger, brother of the bride.
After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. Dinner and supper were served to the immediate families on tables trimmed with pink, blue and white streamers and autumn foliage. In the evening, a free wedding dance was given at the Oakwood pavilion which was largely attended by friends and relatives.
The newlyweds will reside on the Untiet farm in the town of Colby.
