Wiersig, Mr./Mrs. Walter (25th Anniv. - 15 Oct. 1933)

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wiersig celebrated their twenty-fifth or silver wedding anniversary at the St. John’s hall Sunday afternoon and evening. Mrs. R. H. Markus played the wedding march, "Here Comes The Bride" while the wedding family marched to their chairs after which Mr. W. Wiersig, son Arthur, and daughters, Eveline and Irma, sang the hymn, "The Lord Has Helped Me Hitherto." Then Rev. Hoffmann delivered a short address which was followed by the hymn, "Abide With Me, Fast Falls the Evening Tide." In the evening, games were played.

Mrs. W. Wiersig was born in the town of Colby on Nov. 20th, 1887, and Mr. Wiersig was born in the town of Sherman, Sheboygan county, May 24th, 1884, and came to Colby with his parents. They were married in Colby Oct. 15th, 1908, at the Zion Lutheran church by Rev. Witchunke. They have six children: Arthur, Eveline, Erma, Raymond, Lenhart and Donald, all at home.

Ebert and family, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dins and son, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Wiersig and family, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Runzheimer and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ewald Wiersig and family, Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Wiersig and family, Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Marcus, Mr. and Mrs. Gerhardt Schmidt and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Kuentz, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Kading, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Mandel, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bruss and family, Mrs. Theodore Lueloff and family, Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Senkbeil and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schwierske and son, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Selves, Lawrence Krueger, Woodrow Tessmer, Norman Kobs, Erna Stock, Harry Wilsman and son, Paul Streibel and two sons, Leona and Roger Staffeil.
