Carl Schwierske, father of Fred Schwierske, local telephone manager, died at Phillips. Funeral services were held at Phillips Monday and burial took place at Watertown Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schwierske and son, Frederick, attended funeral services at Phillips and Mr. and Mrs. F. Schwierske attended the services at Watertown. Mr. Carl Schwierske was well and favorably known in Colby as he visited here often.
