Grossbier, Ann M. (Marriage - 12 Feb. 1934)
A pretty wedding took place at the St. John’s Catholic church at Marshfield Monday morning at nine o’clock, Father A. J. Dorerenbach reading the double ring marriage ceremony, when Miss Ann M. Grossbier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Grossbier of Marshfield, became the bride of Harry W. Orth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Orth of Colby. Miss Margaret Schunk acted as bridesmaid and the groom was attended by his cousin, Norman Orth of Colby.
The bride wore a light blue suit with gray hat and accessories. She wore a shoulder bouquet of rose buds and sweet peas and carried a prayer book. The bridesmaid was attired in a beige and brown suit with brown accessories. Her shoulder bouquet was similar to the bride’s.
After the ceremony, an informal reception was held for immediate relatives and friends at the home of the bride’s parents. Dinner and supper were served, covers being laid for twenty-five. The home was nicely decorated with ferns and pink, green and white streamers for the occasion.
Mr. and Mrs. Orth will make their home in Wausau where Mr. Orth is manager of the Atlantic and Pacific store.
